GLORY-A Meat Music Sampler (Texas Revolution 1970)
If you never did it before, do it now. Cut in the Walt Andrus' studio in Houston, the same studio where "Easter Everywhere", "Corky's Debt..", and the Saddlesore single were recorded. It was the last release of the Texas Revolution label. It has the same laid back grand piano and slide jam vibe style of Corky's. A bit of the same naughtiness and mischief as Corky's, as seen in the lyrics of "Mer-Cun Boy".

RESEARCH 1-6-12 "In Research" (Flick City 1968)
Good and odd psychedelic rock album. Good stoned reflective tracks on "Lookin' In The Toaster", "Omar", and "Pale Rose Gray". A bit of odd underground Godz style on "John", "Highway Song", and "Grass Is Greener".

Visa De Censure No. X
Pierre Clementi's short film collection "Visa De Censure No. X" that he made between acting gigs during 67-1975. It was finished in 1975 and the soundtrack was provided by Clearlight. Some of that music was released by Clearlight under the name Delired Cameleon Family in 1975. That's one of their better albums. That's the album cover that features that lizard breaking out of a "cube" building, that has a pot leaf growing on the side of it.
For all these years, I could never find a washed out video of this movie. I could never find a torrent. I could never find anything. Finally, there is a dvd box set (PAL 2 only disc) that has this short film on it. You can get it from Amazon but for the expensive price of $81.
The film will be playing in NYC soon on big screen at the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) on June 16. I feel like hoping on a Jet Blue flight and going to see it, on big screen it would be great and worth it all:

This colors at the start of this clip remind me of the freak out scenes in "The Trip" and the spider coming out the mouth reminds me of that "deaf puking" scene in "Psych-Out" in an odd novelty way:

13th Floor Elevators on 8-Track tapes...you pull through earth and stone
there is a blog that just posted the 13th Floor Elevators' albums taken from vintage 8-track tape cassettes. I was excited to hear this stuff, thinking that there would be lots of little sounds that I never heard before..but truthfully there is nothing new. The "Psychedelic Sounds" tape seems to be exactly the same as the stereo LP version. "Easter Everywhere" seems to be the mono mix of the album, as same as the mono LP. And "Bull Of The Woods" seem to be taken from a stereo tape, so it's the same has hearing the stereo LP/CD.
So, really this is for collector (completists) only.

city lights
Recorded on 4-track cassette with a Radio Shack microphone in Houston, Texas. Originally private pressed on limited vinyl in 1985. Pre-acid jazz/nu-jazz, "city lights" in other words. The album just got reissued in 2010.
You can read a good short interview with the dude here:

And then on his website he talks about the equipment he used to record the album back in '85:

PERFECT MOTHER (1980)
you probably have this one somewhere. It was a Vanity single.
CANCER (1980)
From Italy, with some unique crazy vocals on this one. Two tracks on this comp.:

NEON (1980)
can't find this one. it was on a single that came with some fanzine. Cool stereo delay effect on the drum machine.
PRECISION BEARINGS (1981)
This is least interesting song on the single. The other two songs on the single, "Roller Funk", and "Roller Bliss" are way more interesting, it sounds like serious San Francisco disco producers mixing with the Subterranean Records punk crowd. Strange cool one.
